I can’t believe how quickly time flies sometimes! This week it was the two year anniversary of one of my gorgeous wedding couples, Elaine & James.

I have known Elaine since we were kids, I was in the same class as her sister and spent most afternoons at their house playing in the pool, climbing trees (which I was always terrible at!), helping out on the paper round, making up dance routines….you know, regular kid stuff.  We went our separate ways in High School but never lost touch so when Elaine asked if I could photograph her wedding I was pretty chuffed.

Elaine & her ‘maids’ got ready in their family home, followed by a service at the gorgeous Sacred Heart church in Rosalie (I’m not gonna lie, I may have teared up a little through their vows) and the stunning day was topped off with a reception at one of Brisbane’s premier venues, Mirra.

Their wedding day might have been two years ago, but it’s a day I’ll never forget. Happy Anniversary Elaine & James!!

I can’t believe it’s been almost 3 months since I had my baby shower and was not so patiently waiting for my little baby boy’s arrival. “Baby G” is now 7 weeks old and once our little guy arrived we decided on the name Will Harris Goodall…but that’s another blog post yet to come!

Initially I was unsure about having a baby shower, the thought of a typical baby shower with games and baby themed decorations made me feel…well let’s just say they aren’t my thing. So my awesome mama (affectionally known as Nana Neesie or Nini for short) put on a bit of girly afternoon tea – no boys and no games! It was a great time to catch up with family and friends, eat cake and be merry because as we all know – a party without cake is just a meeting!

My amazing friend and super awesome photographer Rachel was kind enough to document the afternoon for me. Rachel has kinda become our unofficial family photographer since the baby shower she has also captured some beautiful images of myself and fiance Dan, some images I also CAN. NOT. WAIT. to share!

thank you to all the gorgeous and special women in my life!

Nicola
