Expecting your first child’s arrival is an exciting time, such a mix of emotions & a little bit of the unknown.

It was such a joy to document this special time for Maria & Matt, just weeks before ‘Baby M’ would make his earthside debut.

I love a good baby bump session, and while pregnancy may not always be the most glamorous (speaking from my own experience) it can be a wonderful stage to capture and share with your little ones as they grow up.

Check out their epic rooftop portraits – could Brisbane’s city skyline pass for New York?

After Freddie met Penelope at the hospital, and the gorgeous Bowen family had settled in at home with the newest addition we planned a lovely, relaxed lifestyle session at home.

I am such a fan of family portraits at home, especially with younger kids. They’re in their own environment and free to be themselves, It’s also super handy having snacks or emergency changes of clothes on hand too.

When kids are relaxed and happy they are seriously just the best at being unapologetically themselves. It’s the most magical thing to witness and one of the highlights of my job – so please don’t ever worry about your little ones ‘behaviour’ when I come to photograph your family.

I love the honesty and playfulness they exude, and capturing your family as you are not a staged “perfect” version cos let’s be real there’s no such thing as perfect.

If you’ve been thinking of having your family photographed please get in touch, I’d love to meet you!!
